from battered to blessed:her gripping autobiography

3ABN Host Releases Gripping Autobiography Email page | Print page

By Nicole Batten

Brenda Walsh, well-known for her roles on 3ABN, particularly as the host of Kids Time, shares an amazing story of triumph in her new book Battered to Blessed.

As a busy nursing student and “Miss Kentucky” beauty contestant, Brenda, at age 18, had a promising future. Then one night Brenda met a tall, handsome stranger. What she didn’t know was that her bright future was about to take a dark and terrifying turn.

In shock and shame, Brenda found herself entangled in a web of deception and cruelty—trapped in a marriage to a man she hardly knew. Her husband’s rage and escalating violence threatened not only own her life, but the safety of her baby. In the pit of despair, from which there seemed no escape, Brenda cried out to God.

With the help of author Kay Rizzo, Brenda Walsh tells her powerful and gripping story in Battered to Blessed. It is her journey from pain to peace. Whatever you may be facing in your own life, Brenda’s story will encourage you to believe that God can bring beauty from the ashes of our painful pasts, and make all things new.

Brenda also has written a cookbook with her two sisters, called Cooking With the Micheff Sisters from their appearances on 3ABN Today. Brenda also sings with her sisters and has released several gospel recordings available at any Adventist Book Center
